Web · Mobile · Integration

We build software that ships on time.

Custom web and mobile systems for UK businesses that have outgrown the spreadsheet. Two weeks of discovery, a written scope, a fixed price, and a repository that belongs to you from the first commit.

The practice

A small development practice in Salford.

We write the software that off-the-shelf tools almost cover. The work is done by the people who scoped it, so there is no account layer between you and the engineer holding the ticket, and no hand-off to a third party once the deposit clears.

Every engagement opens the same way. Two weeks of discovery, charged as its own piece of work, in which we map the process as it actually runs rather than as the org chart describes it. You get back a written technical scope, a fixed price for the build, and a short list of the things we think you should not build at all.

We work in one-week increments. At the end of each one there is a deployed environment you can open, not a status call. Test coverage on business logic stays above 80%, and the pipeline refuses a merge that drops it below.

We do not resell licences. We take no referral fee from hosting companies, and we do not bill for meetings. Most agencies price by headcount; we price by scope, and the estimate is on paper before a line is written.

The repository, the infrastructure accounts and the domain are in your name from day one, including the day you decide to take them somewhere else. That is the point of them being yours.

IR Software is run by Inspectorqr Ltd.

  • Discovery & technical scoping from£1,450

Two weeks. We sit with the people doing the job, map the process, write the technical scope and price the build. If you would rather build it elsewhere, take the document with you.

  • Business website & CMS from£4,200

Hand-built, no page-builder underneath. Your editors get a CMS they can use without a manual, and the site holds a Lighthouse performance score above 90 on a mid-range Android handset.

  • Custom web application from£18,500

Internal tools, client portals, booking and scheduling systems. Typed end to end, deployed through CI, with a rollback that takes under a minute at three in the morning.

  • iOS & Android application from£24,000

One codebase, both stores. We handle the review submissions, the signing certificates and the crash reporting for the first ninety days after launch, which is when the real bugs arrive.

  • API & systems integration from£6,800

Getting your accounting, CRM and stock software to agree on the same numbers. Queued, idempotent and instrumented, so a failed sync raises an alert instead of a silence.

  • Legacy rescue & code audit from£2,400

The developer left, the build broke, nobody has the password. We document what exists, patch what is dangerous, and tell you plainly whether the thing is worth keeping.

  • Support & maintenance retainer from£950 /month

Security patching, dependency upgrades and a named engineer who already knows the codebase. Four-hour response on production faults, 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays.

A system nobody can change is not an asset. It is a liability with a login page.

How the work runs

Four stages, and you can stop after any of them.

Nothing here is locked behind a twelve-month agreement. Each stage produces something you own and could hand to another firm the same afternoon.

Map

A fortnight on site and in your data. We record how the work is done now, including the parts done in a spreadsheet nobody admits to.

02

Scope

A written specification with a fixed price against each part of it, plus the list of features we would cut first if the budget moves.

03

Build

One-week increments, each ending in a deployed environment. You test it against the real job rather than against a slide.

Hand over

Documentation, a recorded walkthrough and the credentials. Then either a retainer or nothing at all, whichever suits you.

Tell us what is not working.

Send the problem rather than the solution. We read every enquiry ourselves and reply within one working day, and we will say so plainly if the job is not one for us.
