This website is operated by Inspectorqr Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under Company No. 17277545, whose registered office is at 43 Weaste Road, Salford, M5 5HL. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Inspectorqr Ltd. Inspectorqr Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Inspectorqr Ltd is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website. Data protection questions and requests should go to [email protected], or by post to Inspectorqr Ltd, 43 Weaste Road, Salford, M5 5HL. You may also telephone +44 7480 274 125, although we ask that formal requests come in writing so that we have a record of them.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to under Article 37 of the UK GDPR. Enquiries are handled by the company directors.

We do not run advertising pixels, cross-site trackers or profiling tools on this website, and we do not currently operate an analytics provider. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and fault diagnosis.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not process special category data as defined in Article 9 of the UK GDPR.
3. Why we process it, and our lawful basis

4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Client project records and correspondence: for the life of the engagement and 6 years afterwards, which matches the limitation period for contract claims in England & Wales.
- Invoices and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the accounting period, as required by the Companies Act 2006 and HMRC.
- Server access logs: 30 days on a rolling basis.
- Your cookie choice: held in your own browser for 12 months, or until you clear your browser storage.
5. Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of processors to run the business, and each of them is bound by a written data-processing agreement:
- Our web hosting provider, which stores this website and its server logs.
- Our email provider, which carries correspondence to and from [email protected].
- Our accountant and accounting software provider, for invoices and statutory records.
We will disclose personal data to a public authority where we are legally obliged to do so, and to our professional advisers where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. International transfers
Our website hosting and email are provided from data centres within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where a processor's support function involves access from outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or by a UK adequacy regulation for the country concerned. If we ever enable an analytics provider that transfers data to the United States, we will say so in this policy and in the Cookie Policy before switching it on.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- ask us to delete data we no longer need (erasure);
- ask us to pause processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved (restriction);
- receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format (portability);
- object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- ask not to be subject to solely automated decision-making. We do not carry out any.
Withdrawing consent
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it. Clear this site's storage in your browser, or press Decline the next time the banner appears, and the consent is gone. Withdrawal does not affect anything already done lawfully beforehand.
How to exercise a right
Email [email protected] with the words "data request" in the subject line. We reply within one month of receiving the request, as required by Article 12(3). If a request is unusually complex we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you within the first month if that happens. There is no charge.
